They dreamt about,

The life so strange!

One moment they shone,

The next; they were gone.

They waited for it,

They craved for it,

Prayed to be painted,

Ah! Painted in red’

Freedom they cried,

Till the last of their times

They were in love

With their land, Kashmir!

Soulful passion,

The game they knew.

To live, not exist,

Their only dream

Those heroes still live,

Their memory’s still alive!

They slept before the dawn

And rested through the dusk
